Juan Manuel Marquez outworked and outboxed Marco Antonio Barrera in twelve busy and exciting rounds albeit without controversy to dethrone the Baby- Faced Assassin and won the World Boxing Council Super Featherweight Championships at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino last March 17, 2007 and earned him a possible megabuck fight and rematch with his old nemesis, Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao.
If only Bob Arum's Top Rank and Oscar De la Hoya's Golden Boy Production would set their squabbles away and provide us the fight that boxing afficionados have been clamoring for years now.
